Courses

Sondela develops and facilitates sport courses for organisations that cooperate with local partners in developing countries, including local employees of NGOs, employees of partner organisations, local teachers and sport leaders.

Content

We plan the content and duration of each course based on the needs of your organisation and in consideration of local circumstances.

Courses can be tailored around several key themes, including Sport and Trauma, Sport and Health, Sport and Movement for Persons with a disability, depending on the sector in which your organisation is working.

Course content varies but might include topics such as:

  • Sport leadership
  • Teaching sport and games
  • Facilitating sport workshops

Apart from developing training curriculum and courses, Sondela trainers undertake work on behalf of various organisations in developing countries.

  What participants say:

“The course was good because I learnt more skills in games and sports using creative means and I learnt how to teach sports to very big groups of children in IDP camps - Internal Displaced People camps."

  What organisations say:

“It was a very successful course giving the participants the tools to work with large groups of children; taking the focus away from sports as competition and linking it with psychosocial development; and teaching participants how to develop and adapt well-known games in order to use them for different group sizes and/or age groups.“
